A Commitment to Technical Education

Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology is established by Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath, well-known in Karnataka for its yeoman service in the field of rural education. Under the auspices of this organization are running more than 172 institutions right from nursery to the Engineering College all over the State of Karnataka.

The campus extends over an area of 52 acres of land, specially selected to keep the students away from the vitiated atmosphere of city life. Established in the year 1980, the college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, approved by AICTE and by the Government of Karnataka.

STJIT offers BE (Bachelor of Engineering) programs in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, and Information Science Engineering. Diploma programs in Civil and Mechanical Engineering (2nd Shift) are also available.

Yes, STJIT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

A pass in 10+2 or PUC-II with 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics (compulsory) along with Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Electronics and English. SC/ST/OBC candidates require 40% aggregate. Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry.

STJIT is located 3 km from Ranebennur Bus Station on NH-4 (Pune-Bangalore Highway). Ranebennur is 295 km from Bangalore and 100 km from Dharwad, accessible by road and rail.
